Turtles all the way down

Open edition giclée print

Did you know? Turtles are found in mythology all over the Globe. Perhaps due to its large strong carapace and its gentle nature, the turtle is depicted as an 'Atlas' style character - holding up the earth on its back. In Hindu culture, Akupara or Chukwa is the turtle who bears the earth carried on the backs of elephants, this is famously depicted in western culture by Terry Pratchett's Discworld.
